Pharmacy Clinical Manager

The Cardinal Health Clinical Manager will be responsible for managing all clinical programs at Palomar Health within their three hospitals, two which provide an array of acute care services and one specialty hospital focused on Obstetrics, Rehabilitation, Behavioral Health, Pediatrics and Neonatal Intensive Care.
As a Clinical Manager, you will provide leadership direction and management of clinical processes and initiatives within the hospital. Our Clinical Manager manages implementation of all Econotherapeutic programs and compiles documented outcomes by area as well as providing clinical education support for the hospital. Accountabilities:
- Develop, monitor and report on clinical initiatives for the system as a whole.
- Develop, mentor and manage the clinical pharmacists on staff.
- Assist/Mentor the Residency Program Director in managing the residency program and residents.
- Manage the PRIME program to maximize reimbursement from the state.
- Work with each PIC at their respective locations to ensure the clinical programs are best in class and maximizing clinical opportunities and providing the most efficacious and safe medication therapy possible.
- Work with the pharmacists that manage the EHR Pharmacy System (Cerner) to ensure medication protocols reflect the most current standard therapies for the disease state.
Qualifications:
- Must be a “good standing” licensed Pharmacist and/or eligible for licensure in the state of California
- 3+ years related In-patient hospital pharmacy experience
- Experience managing clinical programs preferred
- Residency Management experience is a PLUS
- Ability to hear, write, and speak clearly in order to communicate with customers and health care professionals
- Strong customer service skills.
- Must be able to multi-task.
- Excellent planning, organizing and leadership skills
- Pressure to perform in emergency situations
