Director of Pharmacy Opportunity in Kentucky

The Director of Pharmacy, will provide oversight of medication management and pharmacy operations for King’s Daughter Medical Center, plus four other sites. The director of pharmacy ensures that the pharmacy provides optimal services; meets all legal, accreditation, and certification requirements; and complies with all applicable policies, procedures, codes, and standards of the organization.
King's Daughters Medical Center (KDMC) is located in Ashland, Kentucky. It is a locally controlled, not-for-profit 465-bed hospital that offers "cardiac, medical, surgical, pediatric, rehabilitative, psychiatric, cancer, neurological, pain care, wound care, and home care" services.
Qualifications
- Must be a “good standing” licensed Pharmacist and/or eligible for licensure in the state of Kentucky.
- Prior leadership experience in a 200+ census hospital is preferred.
- Prior 340B experience preferred.
- Oncology/infusion experience preferred.
- Prior leadership responsibility for off-site hospital based locations required.
- Prior experience with establishing goals and achieving results while holding self and others accountable for results.
- Ability to negotiate, influence, and resolve customer/employee problems or conflicts to meet the needs of external and internal customers.
- Ability to develop, implement, and lead all aspects of pharmacy operation.
- Proven experience working collaboratively with internal/external groups to achieve business results, integrating the diverse perspectives of individuals of different backgrounds; coaches others in the dynamics of effective teamwork.
- Excellent planning, organizing, and leadership skills.
