USP <797> is currently in a revision process. The last public comment period submissions are being evaluated by a committee comprised of pharmacy practitioners and other experts. The proposed revision includes requirements to increase the frequency for active air sampling for sites mixing sterile preparations with extended BUDs to monthly, vs the current guideline of every six months.
