What is a charitable assistance foundation?

Charitable patient assistance foundations are independent, nonprofit organizations that provide financial assistance to patients living with life-threatening, chronic, and rare diseases for their out-of-pocket prescription medication costs.

About the Patient Access Network (PAN) Foundation

As a leading charitable foundation and healthcare advocacy organization, the PAN Foundation is dedicated to accelerating access to treatment for those who need it most and empowering patients on their healthcare journeys. We provide critical financial assistance for treatment costs, advocate for policy solutions that expand access to care, and deliver education on complex topics—all driven by our belief that everyone deserves access to affordable, equitable healthcare. The PAN Foundation is committed to connecting patients with the financial support they need in a timely, yet compliant, manner. Patients—or their healthcare professionals—can easily apply for a grant, find out if they’ve been approved, and start using their grant in minutes.

Open funds

PAN offers grants for over 80 diseases, including more than 20 types of cancers. Here are a few of our disease funds that are currently open to patients with both commercial insurance and Medicare:

We are also leading the way when it comes to using technology to further our mission and ensure patients connect with the support they need. Our free, web-based app—FundFinder—alerts people when an assistance fund that covers their treatment, at any charitable patient assistance foundation, is open for new applications.
